Climate change is an undeniable and real threat to our entire civilization. The consequences are already visible and will be disastrous unless we act quickly. We can make the necessary changes to protect the planet through education, innovation, and adherence to our climate commitments. These changes also present enormous opportunities to modernize our infrastructure, which will create new jobs and promote global prosperity.
Tanzania produced a National Adaptation Programmes of Action (NAPAs) in 2007 as mandated by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. The NAPA identifies the sectors of agriculture, water, health, and energy as Tanzania’s most vulnerable sectors to climate change.
Tanzania National Adaptation Programme of Action (NAPA) document is informed by the aspirations of National Development Vision 2025 for high and shared growth, quality livelihood, peace, stability and unity, good governance, high-quality education and international competitiveness.
