Prof. Omari Mzirai, is Agricultural Engineer and Associate Professor (PhD)) in the Department of Environmental Panning at Institute of Rural Development Planning. Prof is also a member of Soil Water Management Research Group based at Sokoine University of Agriculture. Prof Mzirai has more than 20 years research experiences in climate science, social studies and Computer modeling specialist. Prof. Mzirai currently is working on research for development of Decentralized Climate Finance. Prof Mzirai was involved in Agricultural Model Intercomparison and Improvement Project (AgMIP). AgMIP used two Decision Support System (DSSAT and APSIM) to assess global and regional climate change impacts on agriculture and food security. omzirai@irdp.ac.tz.
