This is the final report of the Programme on Climate Change Impacts, Adaptation and Mitigation (CCIAM) in Tanzania. The Programme was implemented by five institutions in Tanzania (Sokoine University of Agriculture,
Ardhi University, University of Dar es Salaam and Tanzania Meteorological Agency) and five institutions in Norway- led by Norwegian University of Life Sciences) with Sokoine University of Agriculture as the main coordinating institution. The main purpose of the Programme was to develop and sustain adequacy in national capacity to participate
in climate change initiatives and address the effects and challenges of climate with a particular emphasis on the REDD+ initiative. The report is a compilation of the main results and achievements on the following main thematic areas or components; Research, Training, Infrastructure, Documentation and Strategic Interventions in addressing climate change impacts, adaptation and mitigation strategies. The report presents a summary of the outputs and activities undertaken, achievements compared to the goal and objectives, and an assessment of the efficiency of the Programme.
